This  programme  will   equip   students   with   the   basic   and important knowledge of the Library and Information Service sector of Fiji including the higher educational institutes, banks, schools, research organizations etc.  The graduates will be able to:
- Apply a broad range of generic information skills, principles and practices in a commercial and academic environment;
 - Grasp the technical knowledge and skills particular to a specific Library and Information Systems field;
- Develop his/her critical thinking capabilities;
 - Have analytical and quantitative skills to analyze Business proposals with special reference to Library and Information Systems.

a)Pass in Year 13 with 200 out of 400 with 50% or more marks in English
b)Applicants who do not meet the requirement based on the years of continuous education progression, but who are able to demonstrate their ability to succeed in the programme at this level on the basis of their maturity, work experience or prior learning and are 21 years of age, may also be admitted to the programme.

Directed Industrial Attachment of 6 months after passing 50% of the courses.
