Unit Name: Research Methods for Information Work

Description: The aim of this course is to introduce basic research methods in enabling the students to conduct small scale user studies and other kind of research to find out solutions for library business operations. It gives the student a basic knowledge on the nature of scientific research, research methodologies, designs and strategies of research, methods for collecting data and analysis. It also aims to provide skills for the students to choose research methods for the research and apply them practically and particularly evaluate research in terms of its practical significance.
