Re-think Agriculture
“Re-think Agriculture” highlights the need to re-imagine agriculture in this era through the use of modern technology and to ensure the continuity of a stable economy for small island countries. As we enter the post-COVID-19 world, now is the time to re-think the importance of Agriculture in our backyards and our economies.

“Re-think Tourism” is a reminder to everyone that the hardest-hit industry during COVID 19 may yet still have something to offer and can remain relevant through creative initiatives such as the Love Your Locals campaign, encouraging re-focusing on the local market. It is time for the tourism industry worldwide to re-think the way tourism has been conducted and to focus on sustainability and resilience.

When we say “Re-think Engineering”, we’re talking about a paradigm shift in a field that is otherwise mostly dominated by males. It is time to focus on women, who are more than capable of making their mark in the field of Engineering Science.

“Re-think Teaching” highlights the reality of the “New Normal” for learning and teaching. Online learning is now a reality that everyone has to adapt to and this forces us to re-think our methods of teaching. We now focus on incorporating online methods of learning and teaching into our curriculum so that our graduate teachers can be better prepared for the future.

Through the theme “Re-think Medical Care”, we seek to put the emphasis back on to our health care workers who have been on the frontlines during the fight against COVID 19. It is a reminder of the nobility of the medical profession and the sacrifices our health care professionals have to make daily.

The connection between student and university exists well after graduation and the mandate of the Alumni Relations Office (ARO) under the Division of Marketing and Communications is to mobilise resources and implement strategies to maintain the connection and engagement with the graduates of FNU and its former institutions.
The Alumni Relations Team is made up of highly experienced staff who specialise in stakeholder relations, engagement and project management in community, corporate and higher education sectors.

The Alumni Relations team coordinates the development of meaningful, enduring, and mutually beneficial relations between the Alumni of the University, the University itself, sponsors and the wider community.
The Marketing Office comprises of highly qualified individuals who are brand experts and very enthusiastic about maintaining and safeguarding the FNU BRAND. We are here to support and collaborate with Colleges, Campuses and Support Sections with your promotional needs and advice on the best marketing strategy to achieve your goals and ensure that it aligns with the University’s overall strategic goals.

Public Relations and Communications (PRC) is a strategic unit within the Division of Marketing and Communications which provides a wide range of services including corporate communications and awareness of various initiatives related to learning and teaching, research and events undertaken at the Fiji National University (FNU).
The team is comprised of experienced and professional staff who have a background working in the media, private, public and non-governmental organisations (NGO).
The PRC team is based at the FNU head-office in Nasinu and liaise with staff within the University as well as key external stakeholders to accomplish its objectives.
