Unit Name: Total Quality Management

Description: A quality circle is a volunteer group composed of workers (or even students), usually under the leadership of their supervisor (but they can elect a team leader), who are trained to identify, analyze and solve work-related problems and present their solutions to management in order to improve the performance of the organization, and motivate and enrich the work of employees. The purpose of this course is to acquaint students to the philosophy and principles of Quality Circle. This course will provide an understanding and importance of the concepts such as employee participation/involvement, teamwork, continuous improvement, communication and so on. Furthermore, the course would enable the students to develop people skill, their capabilities, confidence and creativity through cumulative process of education, training, work experience and commitment.
