Programme Description
Diploma in Transport Technology and Management (Roads) is a 3 years long Diploma programme and it follows the semester system of learning. Each academic year is divided into two semesters, with each semester lasting for a period of 6 months.

After passing Form 6 or any Certificate IV in Automotive Engineering specialization courses, students are eligible to pursue this programme. Diploma in Transport Technology and Management (Roads) programme trains students in areas such as – transport management, logistics and supply chain management, transport legislation and customer service, braking and safety features, fleet management and business planning, traffic management and accident investigation, vehicle noise and vibration, transport and environment etc.

Transport industry focuses on freight and passenger relocation to a predetermined destination. The focus is on timely delivery of consignment from the consignor to the consignee for the Right Goods, with the Right Quantity, at the Right Place, at the Right Time, with the right quantity at the Right Price. A transport planner or transport director will forecast on the transport needs of the nation so that all the transport needs of the travelling public is met, thus fulfilling the obligation of the government i.e. to provide transportation to all its citizens.

The courses in the programme have both theoretical studies and practical sessions associated with them. In the last semester (6th semester), an Industrial Attachment of six months is involved with the aim of giving hands-on experience in an industrial scenario to students.

Majors Transport Management
Minimum Requirement
a)Pass in Fiji  Year 12  Certificate Examination or Fiji Year 12 internal Annual Exam/Assessment with 200 out of 400 marks with 50% minimum marks in English, Mathematics and 50 % or more in any other 2 subjects or Completion of Certificate IV programme.

b)Applicant may also be admitted to the programme who may not meet the requirement on the years of the continuous education progression, but who are able to demonstrate their ability to succeed in programmes at these levels on the basis of their maturity, work experience or prior learning and are 17 years of age.
