Unit Name: Vehicle Dynamics

Description: This course is designed to support hands-on skills and provide a clearer and better understanding of the different engine types. It also enables students to acquire the basic knowledge of the operation of different systems which allows an automobile to function efficiently.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, the learners will be able to : 1. Interpret workshop safety, environmental and health concerns. 2. Specify and determine the difference between the operation of the two types of engine, two and four-stroke engines. 3. Illustrate their major components and their different functions. 4. Demonstrate the components of motor vehicle braking, steering, suspension and transmission systems. 5. Specify the basic operating principles, including advantages and limitations of various types of braking systems, steering systems, suspension systems, transmission systems and drive lines. 6. Demonstrate the layout/construction of basic components within the vehicle wheels and tyres.
