Unit Name: Transport Accident & Investigation

Description: This course offers to illustrate to the students the knowledge of various traffic collision investigation skills.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Analyse and discuss the type of collision, the location, the extent of injuries and the traffic condition. 2. Demonstrate how to use, traffic control devices such as orange plastic traffic cones and flares. 3. Analyse physical evidence from a crash by the final resting location of each vehicle. 4. Track the effect of the accident impact by examining the vehicle interior. 5. Calculate the reference point and take the keystone from which the entire collision is measured. 6. Demonstrate how to prepare and draw the collision scene.
