Unit Name: Motor Vehicle Science

Description: This course is to introduce the basic principles of motor vehicle engineering science with emphasis on their analysis and application to practical engineering problems and to develop the understanding of statics, dynamics, energy, machines and engine power. Develop the students? understanding of statistics, dynamics, energy, machines and engine power.

Learning Target Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the learner can: 1. Relate the relationship between linear and angular motion. 2. Interpret Newton\\\'s Law of Motion. 3. Apply the principle of conservation of energy 4. Relate friction and properties of lubrication. 5. Illustrate elasticity and Hooke\\\'s law. 6. Sketch the curves of ip, bp, fp and mechanical efficiency.
