Unit Name: Transport System 1

Description: This unit is intended to provide the students with basic understanding and concept of transport system and to give a knowledge of the modern transport system that is used in the transport industry.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students will be able to understand the following 1. Specify and determine the transport modes which one should consider in order to explain the contemporary 2. Apply the function of transport networks, in relation to transport patterns and movement geometry. 3. Relate the basic principle function of storage and warehousing. 4. Specify and determine the difference between transport cost structure and pricing policy decision which have affected transport agencies 5. Apply and question the contemporary problems of public transport operation in rural areas which reflect the nature of demand 6. Relate the difference between fixed and maximum penalty
