Unit Name: Transport & Environment

Description: This unit develops the students understanding of the effect of transport on environment.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Analyze and discuss the damage to society, caused by transport. 2. Discuss the effect of development on environmental considerations about the market mechanism. 3. Identify and assess intervention failures in transport policy 4. Question the three negative environmental impacts that have been of particular concern to the transport policy. 5. Differentiate land use and transportation activities about the differences in training respective staff as well as their scope of activities. 6. Analyze and discuss the effect of traffic congestion as a contributing factor to air and noise pollution.
