Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Relate the impact of logistics on individuals and society as a whole. 2. Interpret the role of logistics in the organization in terms of improving profitability and competitive performance. 3. Relate the three elements of customer service into three groups: pre-transaction, transaction and post-transaction. 4. Illustrate how to conduct a customer service audit. 5. Illustrate how the order processing system can influence the performance of logistics Activities. 6. Demonstrate how inventories and customer service levels are interrelated.
