Programme Name Certificate in Engineering (Electrical) (Level 3)
Programme Description
The main purpose of this programme is to prepare students for employment in Certificate III level occupations specializing in electrical engineering practices. The programme is directed towards occupations with typical job titles such as assistant technical officer or general trades person. The general characteristics of the programme are as outlined in The University Academic , Student Regulation of the Fiji National University and, more specifically, the programme aims to provide a broad based, initial vocational programme for the technical workforce, specializing in electrical practices.

Minimum Requirement
1. Successful completion of Fiji Year 10 Certificate Examination with a pass in Mathematics and English or 11 years of education with continuous progression. Students with equivalent regional/international results are also considered on a case-by-case basis subject to a review process; OR
2. Successful completion of Certificate II in Electrical Engineering, OR
3. Applicants may also be admitted to the programme who may not meet the requirement on the years of the continuous education progression, but who are able to demonstrate their ability to succeed in programmes at these levels on the basis of their maturity, work experience or prior learning, have acceptable secondary school education and are 17 years of age. This will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
