Unit Name: Appliance Servicing Practice

Description: This unit provides the students with the basic skills and competency required in servicing and repairing of common domestic electrical appliances.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students should be able to: 1. Explain the control mechanism which constitutes heating appliances. 2. Explain the control mechanism for rotating appliances. 3. Apply the appropriate skills and use proper procedures when dealing with servicing and repairing of domestic devices. 4. Use standard skills in fault finding faulty appliances using proper testing equipment. 5. Relate to service manuals regarding safety and servicing procedures required in domestic appliances
