Unit Name: Electrical Calculations I

Description: The purpose of this course is to develop skills in applying mathematics to Trade level work in electronics. This course is primarily concerned with reinforcing the basic mathematical principles taught in High School and developing skills in applying these mathematics to problems of the types found in engineering.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students should be able to: 1. Perform calculations, by applying a variety of methods, including the use of electronic calculators. 2. Solve problems involving formulas and equations relevant to electrical and electronics engineering. 3. Use graphical techniques to present information and solve problems. 4. Apply geometrical theorems and techniques to the solution of problems. 5. Solve problems involving trigonometric functions and techniques.
