Unit Name: Engineering Drawing

Description: To provide an introductory understanding of engineering drawings, the conventions and representations used and practical application of these techniques. This is the first of two units, the overall purpose of which is to develop skills in the preparation and interpretation of engineering drawings relevant to electrical trade personnel.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students should be able to: 1. Relate to drawing equipment based on circumstances. 2. Compare techniques of preparation and maintenance. 3. Exercise and measure three dimensional artifacts. 4. Carry out free hand sketches exercises with proper annotations. 5. Complete exercises producing two dimensional geometrical drawings with instruments to illustrate basic presentation
