Unit Name: Computer Aided Drawing

Description: The purpose of this unit is to develop skills in the use of computer software to draw electrical circuits and diagrams relating to electrical engineering installation and specifications.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students should be able to: 1. Relate to suitable Computer Aided Drawing application software and its features. 2. Explain the basic features of the CAD software. 3. Use standard application to simulate electrical circuits using CAD. 4. Relate to house wiring and electrical hardwiring plans using CAD. 5. Complete drawing exercises using relevant skills.
