Unit Name: Electrical Installation Practice I

Description: This is the first of three units, the overall purpose of which is to develop skills in the installation, testing and maintenance of electrical services and equipment.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students should be able to: 1. Apply craft skills associated with handling and joining small electrical cables. 2. Correctly relate cable colour coding, cable size and difference in light wire and switch wire. 3. Apply skills in installing fixtures and accessories. 4. Apply skill to use TPS cables to wire final circuits for lighting and GPOs. 5. Apply skill to install conduits and trunking
