Programme Name Certificate in Enrolled Nursing (Level 4) Quota Based
Programme Description
The underpinning philosophy of the enrolled nursingprogrammeembraces the Orem's Self-Care Deficit nursing theory when nursing is needed. Nursing is required when a client is incapable of or limited in the provision of continuous effective self-care (Orem, 2001). An enrolled nurse is a nursing agency who is trained to enable him/her to act, to know and to help others meet their therapeutic self-care demands. Specifically, enrolled nurses' actions should be directed to the universal self-care requisites that are associated with (activities of daily living, ADLs) life processes and the maintenance of the integrity of human structure and functioning.
