Programme Description
The general aims of this programme is to provide an excellent theoretical orientation, depth in content in the teaching subjects, exposure to a range of the most relevant and effective teaching methodologies and extensive supervised professional teaching practice that are considered the essential academic and practical skills requirements for teaching in secondary schools. This programme allows the students to major in two teaching subject areas by completing seven (7) courses in each subject. In addition, there will be nine (9) education courses as well as one other service course. The total number of courses in this programme is 24.

Minimum Requirement
a)A pass in the Fiji Year 13 Examination with a total of 220 or more marks in four subjects including a pass in English, Accounting, and Economics or equivalent as per the University Academic & Student Regulations (UASR).
b)Applicant may also be admitted to the programme who may not meet the requirement on the years of continuous education progression, but who are able to demonstrate their ability to succeed in programmes at these levels on the basis of their maturity, work experience or prior learning and are 21 years of age.
