Unit Name: Assessment & Evaluation for Secondary

Description: The unit aims to develop in the students the competencies to measure, analyze the collected information, and to assess the achievement of learners on the basis of their performance in various tasks in a specific area of study in Secondary Schools. It explores selected assessment techniques to evaluate teaching and learning. The student will be able to distinguish among the concepts measurement, assessment and evaluation. Current trends in assessment at the national and international level, functions of assessment, planning assessment tasks, administration of assessment & evaluation tools, analysis of collected data and making sense of assessment data will be examined.

Prerequisite: have to complete all Year 1 units

Prerequisite Sentence: Students need to have successfully completed all 500 level units offered in this program in Semester 1, Year 1 (EDU558, EDU560 and EDU561)
