Unit Name: Corporate Accounting

Description: The aim of this course is to develop students understanding of major areas of Corporate Accounting including company formation, corporate accounting regulations, disclosure requirements, tax effect accounting, accounting for leases, accounting for business combinations, consolidations and liquidations and receiverships. The students will learn the current regulations that govern corporate financial reporting including relevant legislations and accounting standards. In the course students will be presented with challenging situations to develop analytical and critical thinking abilities.
