This programme will equip students with the basic and important knowledge of the Library and Information Service sector of Fiji including the higher educational institutes, banks, schools, research organization's etc. The graduates will be able to; apply a broad range of generic information skills, principles and practices in a commercial and academic environment; grasp the technical knowledge and skills particular to a specific Library and Information Systems field; develop his/her critical thinking capabilities; have analytical and quantitative skills to analyze Business proposals with special reference to Library and Information Systems.

Pass in Fiji  Year 13  Certificate Examination or Fiji Year 13 internal Annual Exam/Assessment with pass in English.
b)Applicant may also be admitted to the programme who may not meet the requirement on the years of continuous education progression, but who are able to demonstrate their ability to succeed in programmes at these levels on the basis of their maturity, work experience or prior learning and are 21 years of age.
