Programme Description
The Environmental Management Act of 2005, Fiji requires that persons knowledgeable and confident in environmental management should be employed in primary industry and government institutions responsible for protecting the environment. This is to ensure that all environmental issues related to the institutions or industry can be managed by these officers who can take decisions on the subject of the environment. This programme aims to develop student's knowledge and skills in Environmental Management techniques needed to analyse, diagnose and design Environmental Management plans that are required in various industries and Institutions. This has been ensured by including units such as Environmental Field Sampling, Environmental Pollution and control, and Environmental Law.

Minimum Requirement
•The student must pass Fiji Year 13 Certificate Examination with 200 out of 400 marks, with a 50 % minimum mark in English, Mathematics and two other science subjects; either Biology, Agriculture, Physics, Chemistry or Geography OR Foundation Science with a GPA of 2.00 or more to enrol into the programme.  
•Mature students with years and relevant work experience may also be considered for candidature.
