Programme Description
Bachelor of Oral Health is a 3 year full-time undergraduate degree programme. It's an exciting new programme implemented from year 2013. Bachelor of Oral health students receives dental education and training in community and clinical oral health care. The programme provides students with in-depth knowledge and skills relating to the prevention and management of oral diseases and health promotion; and prepares them to practice in clinics and community outreach initiatives. Bachelor of Oral Health graduate is able to register with dual qualification Individuals studying Bachelors of Oral health qualify to practice as a dental therapist as well as a dental hygienist.

Minimum Requirement
 Direct Entry:
1. Pass in Year 13 Examination or equivalent with a minimum aggregate mark of 280 out of 400 with a 50% pass in English and best three subjects: Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics OR; 
2. Pass in full Foundation Science programme or equivalent with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 out of 4.5 or  5.0 including a pass in English and best three subjects: Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics OR;
3. Applicants who have completed or with an incomplete Bachelor of Science Programme should have a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.5 or 5.0  OR; 
4. Regional and international applicants will need qualifications assessed by Educational Quality and Assessment Programme (EQAP-SPC) OR;
5. Other than the fresh School leavers, alternative entry criteria maybe considered by the Dean or Dean authorized teaching staff. This includes applicants who are able to demonstrate their ability to succeed in this programme on the basis of their maturity together with relevant work experience (from Supervisors) or/and prior learning may be considered for placement. The Dean or Dean authorized teaching staff may require such an applicant to sit for any specific or general examination as a prerequisite for any such enrolment, or may restrict enrolment only to certain prescribed courses that must be passed to progress further, as per the University Academic & Student Regulations (UASR 4.4 pg. 19).
6. If the quotas for BOH candidates are not met, then the MER may be lowered until the quota for local and regional/international students is reached. However, marks below 250/400 or GPA below 2.5 out of 4.5 or 2.53 out of 5.0, or equivalent will not be considered. 
Lateral Entry:
1. Graduates with a Certificate in Dental Hygiene and Diploma in Dental Therapy. 
2. Applicants terminated from the BDS programme may be accepted. 
3. Applicants for further Lateral Entry requirements are to refer to the CMNHS Student Admission Manual 2020..
