Programme Description
Higher Education Diploma in Accounting especially designed for those who need to perform accounting duties such as developing and maintaining accounting systems, reporting on business performance, preparing financial statements, maintaining internal control systems, preparing management accounting reports as well as accounting and reporting on performance and accountability of public sector entities. The programmeaims to give the students' knowledge and skills required to work largely in accounting roles in real life business environments. In addition to theoretical knowledge it exposes students to practical training in the accounting discipline, leading to career positions such as accountants, senior financial officers and office managers. Students may choose the elective courses relevant to their planned career paths.

Minimum Requirement
a) Pass in Fiji  Year 13  Certificate Examination or Fiji Year 13 internal Annual Exam/Assessment with pass in English.

b) Applicants who do not meet the requirement based on the years of continuous education progression, but who are able to demonstrate their ability to succeed in the programme at this level on the basis of their maturity, work experience or prior learning and are 21 years of age, may also be admitted to the programme.

Directed Industrial Attachment of 4 months after passing 50% of the courses.
