Unit Name: Introduction to Commercial Law

Description: This course introduces students to legal aspects of commerce such as trading, manufacturing, providing service, importing and exporting most of which would normally be done through contracts and agreements enforceable at law. Topics for study include Business Structures, Sale of Goods, Law of Contracts, elementary aspects of Tort Law and Consumer Protection Law. While examining these topics students are exposed to both statutory law and common law ? mainly to demonstrate the nature of disputes and legal complexities of their resolution.
