Programme Description
This programme aims to produce graduates who will meet the need to cope with the challenge of increased engineering demand and given society's growing awareness of the environment. It also develops the student's knowledge to contribute positively to the standards of quality in their field of employment and to provide sound practical input with theoretical knowledge for the technological advancement of the industry/society. The Diploma in Plant Engineering is a qualification designed to bridge the gap between a professional engineer and an engineering tradesman and gain a high level of professionalism with an insight into engineering management principles and supervisory skills, which will prove beneficial to them and to the organization they would serve in after finishing education.

Minimum Requirement
•Minimum entry requirement (MER) for this program shall be a pass in the Fiji School Leaving Certificate (12 years of education with continuous progression) or it's equivalent with at least 50% marks in Mathematics, English, Physics/ Introduction to Technology and any one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Technical Drawing, Metal Technology or Computer Studies.
•Holders of Certificate IV or equivalent in a relevant discipline may also be admitted into the program.
•Under exceptional circumstances mature applicants with relevant industrial experience may also be admitted.
