At the end of this Programme. graduates will be able to:
•Provides opportunities for students to develop relevant technical, vocational and interpersonal competencies suitable for employment and further training along with ethics and governance for workshop use.
•Develop skills, knowledge and experiences - such as teamwork, communication and occupational health and safety- that are transferable to other industries.
•Increase and enhance their range of skills and knowledge in the manufacturing and service industries.
•Adapt quicker to new technological advances in the field coupled with training thus acquiring knowledge quickly and developing and applying news kills effectively.
•Have several career changes during their lifetime which may be funded by industry, but is very often the responsibility of the individual.
•Provides students with the best possible base for lifelong learning and for pursuing relevant career choices.
•Become a trainee tradesman who understudies and works together with a Tradesman in the workplace.

(a) A pass in Fiji Year 12 Certificate Examination (FY12CE) (12 years of continuous progression), or equivalent with a pass in English.
(b) Matured applicants with less than the above requirements but with some industrial experience of 5 years minimum can be considered.
(c) A pass in Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (Level 3) or Certificate in Fitting and Machining (Level 3).
