Unit Name: Fitting and Machining Practice B1

Description: To enable the students to be competent in the operation of a lathe machines doing different machining processes and also in the proficient use of hand tools in general fitting.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Exercise by producing a work instruction write-up describing the process of machining to be used to produce a specified piece of work. 2. Describe and machine single start vee thread and 2 start square threads. Carry out the eccentric, taper, and form turning.
