Unit Name: Fitting and Machining Process B

Description: To provide students with the knowledge and skills required for competency in the use of hand/power tools and machine tools.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Identify various cutting angles and the effects of changing this angle. 2. Relate how to set up lathes and grind threading cutting tools for cutting threads and use a drilling machine and grind the correct angles on twist drills. 3. Express the term related to eccentric turning, applications and procedures for marking and production. 4. Apply the methods of clamping work on any machine.
