Unit Name: Fitting and Machining Practice A2

Description: To enable the development of intermediate knowledge in skills required for competency in the basic uses of fitting and machining tools and workshop practice processes.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Express through demonstration by completing a test piece using standard workshop techniques for lathe work to close tolerances. 2. Produce a test piece incorporating various machining techniques to close tolerances and carry out the eccentric, taper, and form turning.
