Description: Acute Respiratory infections (ARIs) are the top cause of morbidity and mortality among children under the age of five years globally and mostly affecting the low and middle income countries. It can lead to serious complications like rheumatic heart disease and glomerulonephritis. The aim of this study was to assess the risk factors for ARIs and their prevalence among children under the age of 5 years and to assess the knowledge and perception of mothers about ARIs affecting their children and their perceptions of the risk factors attending integrated management of childhood Illness (IMCI) clinic in Ba Hospital in 2019.
