Impact of ICT- based strategies in the teaching and learning of chemistry at the secondary level: a case study of Fijian Secondary Schools

Author: Fazilat Bibi.

Description: This study examined how students’ comprehension of organic chemistry in Fijian secondary schools was impacted by ICT-integrated instruction utilising Chem Sketch software. Using a quasi-experimental, within-subjects, repeated-measures design, a total of 112, Year 12 chemistry students from eight schools were selected as research participants and received both conventional and ICT-integrated instruction. Pre- and post-tests were used to assess lower-order thinking skills (LOTS) and higher-order thinking skills (HOTS), with prior knowledge as a covariate.
