The aim of the programme is to: 

(a) Develop the necessary skill set to undertake the basic requirements within the customs area and related industries.  

(b) Exhibit the competencies and technical expertise that will ensure that risks and uncertainties at the borders are well mitigated and handled professionally. 

(c) Raise the proficiency of decision making and leadership that is required to maintain our border security and customs related activities. 

(d) Provide a systematic method of information free-flow to ensure that all stakeholders are fully informed of the developments in Customs and Border related matters. 

A pass in Year 12 with 250/400 and 50% or more marks in English. Mature age, recognition of prior learning and professional work experience are acceptable with HOS/HOD discretion.
