  1. What is PaperCut?

PaperCut is a self-printing, self-photocopying and self-scanning service whereby you no longer need to go to the ‘library circulation counter’ for this service as you can do it on your own.

  1. Is this service available in all FNU libraries?

Yes

  1. Is there anything needed to use this service?

You need to have a valid FNU ID card and computer login (username and password).

  1. Is valid FNU ID card necessary to use this service?

Yes, because if you have a valid FNU ID card, then ICT will provide you with the username and password for computer login.

  1. Will I still be able to use this service, if I have lost my FNU ID card?

Yes, you will be able to use this service as far as you have your computer login.

  1. What if I forgot my computer login password?

You will need to refer to ICT Helpdesk for assistance.

  1. How do I use this service to print, photocopy and scan?

Please refer to the attached guideline(s) for detailed information.

  1. How do I ‘top-up’ my account?
  1. You will need to refer to ‘library circulation counter’ to top-up your account.
  2. You will have to inform your correct FNU ID number to library staff at the counter and amount you need to top-up.
  1. How do I know the balance in my account?

As you login into any FNU networked computer, PaperCut MF-icon will appear and advise you the current balance.

  1. Can I view my transaction details?

Yes.

  1. How can I view my transaction details?

As you log into any FNU networked computer, PaperCut MF-icon will appear on the screen and you will find the option ‘details’ on the right-hand side on the bottom. Click on ‘details’ and login to view account.

  1. What are the charges for printing, photocopying and scanning?

  1. How can I use this service if I do not have an FNU ID card and computer login?
