Description: This dissertation aims to introduce sight words to kindergarten children to prepare them for grade 1 reading. While there were mixed outcomes with reading scores, introducing sight words into kindergarten classrooms was ultimately successful considering Fiji’s limited knowledge about sight words in early childhood education.
