The main purpose of this programme is to prepare students for employment in Certificate level 4 occupations specializing in automotive panel repair and paint. This qualification will equip students with the skills required to become qualified automotive panel and paint Technician.  The general characteristics of the programme are as outlined in the University Academic and Student Regulations of the Fiji National University and more specifically, the programme aims to provide a broad based, initial vocational programme for the technical workforce, specializing in automotive panel repair and paint. 

1) A pass in Fiji Year 12 Certificate Examination (12 years of continuous progression), OR  

2) Graduated with Certificate in Engineering (Level 3), OR  

3) Applicants may also be admitted to the programme who may not meet the requirements in the years of continuous education progression, but who are able to demonstrate their ability to succeed in programmes at these levels on the basis of their maturity, work experience or prior learning, have acceptable secondary school education and are 17 years of age.
