Programme Description
The programme is a three years full time programme.
Majors Forestry
Minimum Requirement
1.	A pass in Fiji Year 13 Certificate Examination (Y13) or equivalent with a pass in English and a minimum aggregate mark of 200 out of 400 including Biology, and/or Agriculture Science and completion of any of the following subjects: Mathematics (including Pure/ Life mathematics), Chemistry/ Geography/ Food & Nutrition Technology/Physics/Computer Science/ Economics/ Accounting/ Introduction to Technology or;

2.	The Applicants who have passed Foundation Science Programme or equivalent or;

3.	Applicants with qualification of Diploma (Level 5) in Agriculture are eligible for admission to Year 2 of the programme or; Applicants with qualification of Diploma /Diploma (Level 5) in Forestry/ Agroforestry/Tropical Forestry/ Wood processing and Value Adding/ Animal Husbandry/ Applied Fisheries/ Aquaculture/Agricultural Engineering are also eligible for admission or;

4.	Applicants who have passed the Advanced Certificate in Forest Management or Advanced Certificate in Wood Craft Technology are also eligible for admission with 5 years and over of working experience in a relevant field.

5.	Applicants may also be admitted to the programme who may not meet the requirement above, but who are able to demonstrate their ability to succeed in the programmes at this level on the basis of maturity, work experience, or prior learning. The Dean may place any relevant prerequisite requirement for such a student to progress, require such an applicant to sit for any specific or general examination as a prerequisite for any such enrolment, or restrict enrolment only to certain prescribed courses that must be passed to progress further.
