Programme Description | These programme will be offered by the School of Accounting. These programme were developed through extensive consultation with various stakeholders including the industries and are in par with programme offered by other local and international academic institutions. Increasing complexity in the business and regulatory environment demands both business executives and professional accountants to enhance and upgrade their Knowledge in accountancy. This programme, therefore, provides a deeper knowledge in accountancy beyond the bachelor's degree level as it intends to equip students holistically to deal with recent challenges facing business and accounting profession in the global economy. The programme are to enable students to: i. Integrate knowledge, handle complexity and formulate judgments in the field of accounting profession. ii. Demonstrate a strong technical understanding of contemporary accounting issues. iii. Acquire knowledge on the importance of accounting information in decision making process. iv. Diagnose, redesign and analyze judgments across a broad range of functions of accounting theory and practice. v. Conduct independent research in any field of accounting. vi. Demonstrate thorough understanding of international aspects of accounting and finance. vii. Master the core concepts, principles and techniques in accounting and corporate finance and explore how these can be applied in practice, incorporating the traditional as well more sophisticated global analytical tools. viii. Acquire cognitive, psychomotor and affective skills and have aspiration to continue learning and develop their career further. |

Minimum Requirement | Students can be admitted to the programme with Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with at least 3.0 GPA. Those holding a Bachelor’s degree but have a lower GPA, will need to have at least two years of relevant industry experience to be eligible for admission OR Dean's approval. |
