Higher Education Certificate in Accounting is ideal for those  seeking accounting skills as a step towards undertaking higher level studies in accounting as well as for those seeking to develop accounting skills through education and employment as an alternative route to the accounting profession. Students may choose the elective course from a discipline of their choice relevant to their planned career paths. The graduates will be able to: Basic financial, cost and management accounting, Role of accounting in business organizations, Ethics, values and governance in business and accounting and Use accounting information for decision-making.

a) Pass in Fiji  Year 13  Certificate Examination or Fiji Year 13 internal Annual Exam/Assessment with pass in English.

b) Applicants who do not meet the requirement based on the years of continuous education progression, but who are able to demonstrate their ability to succeed in the programme at this level on the basis of their maturity, work experience or prior learning and are 21 years of age, may also be admitted to the programme.
