The Certificate in Correctional Practice (Level 5) is an entry-level qualification designed for new recruits and subordinate officers entering the Fiji corrections system. This program equips participants with essential knowledge and practical skills necessary for an effective and professional career in corrections. By focusing on the foundational elements of the corrections field, this certificate builds competence in areas such as legal frameworks, operational protocols, communication, ethics, and safety practices, preparing officers for the responsibilities and challenges they will encounter in their roles.

***The Certificate in Correctional Practice (Level 5) is currently offered exclusively to Fiji Corrections Service recruits and their regional partner recruits. At this time, the programme is not open to the public.

Pass in Year 13 with 200/400 and 50 percentage or more marks in English, or 2yrs work experience in Corrections Service, or mature age, recognition of prior learning for those without Y13 pass or HOD/HOS discretion.
