Unit Name: Introduction to Financial Accounting

Description: This course is designed for students interested in an Accounting career. It also gives general understanding of how to use accounting information, to anyone in the business environment. The course has a strong focus on decision making role and help students attain general skills in accounting such as critical thinking, problem solving and interpersonal communication skills. Furthermore, students should be able to understand the financial performance and interpret the financial status of financial entities

Learning Target Outcomes: Attain decision making skills in Financial Accounting. Demonstrate Knowledge of each step in the accounting cycle. Identify appropriate methods to determine the value Accounts Receivable, Inventory, Non-Current Assets and Labilities.
