Unit Name: Introduction to National Economy

Description: This course provides an introduction into the field of development economics. It will first illustrate to students how an economy functions. It will describe the components of an economic system and its relationship with each other. The economic system will be extended to examine the global economy and factors that weaken or strengthen the relationship between the domestic and global economy. This course will also examine the nexus between growth and development and related issues of Millennium Development Goals.

Learning Target Outcomes:

Prerequisite: Pass in Y13 or HOD/HOS Discretion or Mature Age or Prior Learning for those without Y13 pass

Prerequisite Sentence: The student must pass Year 13 External Examination or consent from HOD.
