The programme is two years full-time programme. The graduates will be equipped with technical expertise and skills in the area of wood science, wood processing, value adding, wood protection, wood machineries and safety, non-timber forest products, forest business and entrepreneurship. The graduates will acquire an education at a level that will equip them for employment, self-employment and lay the foundations for a lifetime of continuous learning and personal development

1.	A pass in Fiji Year 12 Certificate Examination or equivalent with a pass in English and a minimum aggregate mark of 200 out of 400 including Biology, and/or Agriculture Science and completion of any other subject (s): Mathematics (Pure/Life), Chemistry/ Geography/ Food & Nutrition Technology/ Physics/Computer Science/ Economics/ Accounting/ Introduction to Technology or;

2.	Applicants who have passed the Advanced Certificate in Forest Management or Advanced Certificate in Woodcraft Technology are also eligible for admission.

3.	Applicants with Certificate III in Agriculture are also eligible to apply for admission.

4.	Applicants may also be admitted to the programme who may not meet the requirement on the years of continuous education progression, but who are able to demonstrate their ability to succeed in the respective programmes on the basis of their maturity, work experience, or prior learning. The Dean may require such an applicant to sit for any specific or general examination as a prerequisite for any such enrolment or may restrict enrolment only to certain prescribed courses that must be passed to progress further.
