Certificate in Correctional Practice (Level 5)

The Certificate in Correctional Practice (Level 5) is an entry-level qualification designed for new recruits and subordinate officers entering the Fiji corrections system. This program equips participants with essential knowledge and practical skills necessary for an effective and professional career in corrections. By focusing on the foundational elements of the corrections field, this certificate builds competence in areas such as legal frameworks, operational protocols, communication, ethics, and safety practices, preparing officers for the responsibilities and challenges they will encounter in their roles.

The Certificate in Correctional Practice (Level 5) is currently offered exclusively to Fiji Corrections Service recruits and their regional partner recruits. At this time, the programme is not open to the public.

Bachelor of Border Management (Customs)

The Bachelor of Border Management (Customs) program is a specialized single or double major designed to address the specific needs of today’s international travel and trade environment. With emerging risks in cross-border and online trading, the role of customs and border management is increasingly crucial to the economy, trade, and national security of all countries. This program meets the growing demand for expertise in these areas from both government agencies and private sector companies. The curriculum is highly practical, utilizing case studies and assessments directly relevant to students\’ workplaces, allowing them to integrate their learning with their professional roles. It encompasses disciplines such as law, public administration, and management, providing graduates with advanced knowledge and expert skills in international trade regulation, trade facilitation, and administration.
