Conference Program: Strands & Schedule

The #LandcareFiji2026 program is structured around three interconnected strands representing the core dimensions of resilient agricultural systems in the Pacific. These strands bring together people, land stewardship and governance to support sustainable agriculture and community resilience.

The Heart: Faith-led stewardship and collective action. The Root: Ancestral wisdom and biophysical restoration. The Anchor: Governance, fair markets, and food security.
Focus: Learning, innovation and collective action. Focus: Environmental stewardship and climate adaptation. Focus: Food systems, enterprise and economic resilience.

Pre-Conference Training (By Invitation Only)

By Invitation Only This component is a targeted training program for selected participants by invitation.

The focus is on the practical application of Landcare and the LIFE model, including:

  • Agricultural extension and facilitation approaches
  • Farmer engagement and group-based models
  • Applying Landcare principles in local contexts

Conference (Open to Registered Delegates)

The conference brings together regional and international participants for technical exchange, knowledge sharing and field-based learning.

  • 8 July – Opening and plenary sessions
  • 9 July – Technical sessions and presentations
  • 10 July – Field visits and applied learning

General Attendees:
Your conference experience begins on July 8 (Day 3). Please ensure your travel and accommodation are booked accordingly.

Pre-conference Training Invitees:
If you have received a formal invitation for the Day 1 & 2 Pre-conference Training, your program begins on July 6.
