College of Agriculture, Fisheries & Forestry

Interested in a career as a Veterinarian, Pathologist or Entomologist?

At our College of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (CAFF), you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and conduct advanced research in a unique learning environment.

Over the years, CAFF has evolved from training for fieldwork only, to policy formulation and leadership of the workforce in Fiji. While our focus on the primary industries has not changed, we can now train more students to become leaders in their field.

The College comprises of two schools: The School of Agricultural Sciences and Forestry (SOAF) and the School of Veterinary Science, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries (SOVAF). There are three departments in SOAF: Entomology and Plant Pathology, Crop Production, Soil Science & Agricultural Engineering, and Forestry. The departments of Veterinary Science, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries come under SOVAF.

There are 16 full-time programmes on offer, ranging from Certificates to Trade Diplomas, Higher Education Diplomas, Bachelors and Masters qualifications. All programmes are currently delivered from the Koronivia Campus. However, recent development in blended learning will enable the college to offer courses from other campuses, including part-time and evening classes for working students.
