Unit Name: Language & Culture Through the Study of Sacraments

Description: The course provides opportunities for students to acquire indepth knowledge and skills regarding Hindu culture and language. During this course, students will investigate the relationship between language and culture through the study of the ancient concept of sacraments; and compare these sacraments with the ones practiced at the present. Students will be encouraged to do a variety of readings on culture and discuss , react in writing to the excerpts regarding culture and language and find out its relevance in today\\\\\\\'s life.
