The main aim of carers programs is to educate carers in and about the people they care for and to provide them with the skills, knowledge, perspectives, attitudes, and values to perform their various tasks in their duty of care.

The entry requirement for this program is the completion of Year 12 with a pass in English and Maths. They may be admitted on the basis of maturity, work experience, or prior learning.
