Programme Description

This module covers the competency required to use oxy-acetylene equipment to perform welding and cutting tasks related to simple plumbing jobs. This module is designed specifically for beginners with little or no previous experience. It covers the fundamentals of welding, heating and cutting ferrous metals, including: - general safety - basic welding, heating and thermal cutting using oxy acetylene equipment.
The competencies encompassed in this module is equivalent to Level 4 of the National Qualifications for Plumbing Trade.
